Teesdale Sixth Form 2018/19

Sixth Form performance

In 2018 our sixth form students performed well across the curriculum with our exam results and performance reflecting the hard work and dedication students and staff demonstrate every day.

2018 Key Stage 5 (sixth form) results

A level progress: -0.25 (when we look at confidence intervals which give the range of values performance is broadly as expected, based on the prior attainment of students at GCSE).

Academic progress: -0.25 (when we look at confidence intervals which give the range of values performance is broadly as expected, based on the prior attainment of students at GCSE).

Applied general progress: -0.09 (this means that students achieved as expected, based on their prior attainment at GCSE).

(Please note, that published data is incorrect as the DFE have included some data that does not belong to Teesdale. This should be amended in the future).

In 2018, the progress made in GCSE English and mathematics is not given because there are fewer than five students included.

In 2018, the average grade that students achieved is shown below, separately for A levels, academic and applied general qualifications:

  • The average grade is C+ for A level and academic qualifications.
  • The average grade is Merit for applied general qualifications excluding Public Services. The average grade is Distinction if Public Services are included (no longer counted in performance tables)

The retention measure is the percentage of students who get to the end of the main programme of study in each qualification type:
