Eve Wilkinson

I am currently studying for a law degree at Newcastle University.

What are your future plans and ambitions?

Finish my degree, then undertake a BPTC and hopefully become a pupillage for a year before becoming a fully-fledged, suit wearing, Martha Costello-esque, real life barrister. I’d even get to buy a wig.

Failing that, as it’s an expensive and uncertain road to take, with no guarantee of a suit, a real job or even being vaguely Martha Costello-esque, take the equally expensive LPC, find solicitor friends to take me under their wing for two years so I can do my seats, and hopefully still get a real life adult job at the end where I can wear suits. No promise of a wig in this one, but there are at least employment rights and a secure-ish pay slip.

What is your favourite Teesdale memory?

When Mr Clyde took us into the drama studio and taught us how to Irish dance, after promising that he would for the full two years that he taught us. His demonstrations were spectacular to say the least.

Advice to my younger self...

Not to worry so much, it all works out in the end.

You can invite one person to a dinner party - who do you invite and why?

Prince Harry, in the hope he will fall madly in love with me.
