Isobel Tallentire

Once I completed my A-levels at Teesdale Sixth Form, I went to Northumbria University where I am now studying for a degree in history. I have really enjoyed meeting lots of new people and starting to live independently.

What are your future plans and ambitions?

My plans and ambitions during university are to achieve good grades in my modules and hopefully leave university with a 2:1 or a 1st degree. After university I want to pursue a career in teaching, so I will complete my teaching qualifications.

What has been the highlight of your life so far after leaving school?

Achieving my place at university and living independently.

What is your favourite Teesdale memory?

There are so many amazing memories from my time at Teesdale School but I will narrow it down to two.

The first would be taking part in the Comenius project. It was so amazing to experience what a French secondary school is like and make friends with students just like me from France and Germany.

The other top memory would be our Year 11 leavers as it was such a lovely way to say goodbye to the friends and teachers from my years at Teesdale School before moving on to A-levels.

Advice to my younger self...

Get involved in as many activities, trips and experiences as possible and push myself to do as well as I can in my subjects.

You can invite one person to a dinner party - who do you invite and why?

I would invite David Attenborough as I think his stories about his amazing career, working with and protecting animals, would be so interesting.
