Students showcased their creations on the catwalk at the HUB's sold-out Trashion Show!

Over the last month a group of artists have been working after-school with designer Kelly Ewing to bring their designs to life. For some this was the first time they have ever sewn before and the final outcomes being absolutely superb. Their collections took inspiration from the revolutionary work of Vivienne Westwood and the dresses of Josephine Bowes, exhibited at the Bowes Museum. Abbie's design was modelled by Kate and inspired by body image and corsetry. Harriet modelled her own design inspired by our natural eco-systems, whilst Blake's design was modelled by Olivia and was inspired by his Great-Grandma's wedding dress.

With the welfare of the planet in mind, all outfits were made with pre-loved textiles donated by members of the local community.

We were had a live performance from GCSE musician Tess, who performed Adele's Set Fire To the Rain. The Just Cook group cooked up a storm, creating delicious street food including loaded fries and homemade chicken nuggets. The event included students from every year group which was a fantastic representation of our school community.

Thank you to TCR The Hub for inviting us to be a part of this event. Huge well done to everyone involved - what a fantastic evening!
