Teesdale School and Sixth Form has partnered up with Barnard Castle Cricket Club to gain some expert coaching for students. In particular, coaches have been delivereing sessions for girls to encourage more of them to take part and join the club.
John Ashworth and Anthony Marshall run an after school club on a Wednesday in partnership with our female PE teachers.
Our young women have already competed in the Indoor Lady Taverner Cup and won their first round in the under 13 age group.
We hope this initiative will encourage further participation so we can enter more matches in the summer months.
Liam Foster from Barnard Castle cricket club is also delivering top quality cricket sessions in lesson time to our younger boys to encourage more participation at the club.
