Three of our caring Year 10 students are currently volunteering as part of a community project to support local residents.
Mia, Grace and Willow have been attending the Teesdale Community Hub on Saturdays to make dishes from food donated by local supermarkets. The food is then put into care packages which are distributed to local residents who need support for a range of reasons.
Recently the group made 36 crumbles, bread and butter pudding and as a Halloween treat, spooky toffee apples.
The girls are learning about the vital issues of food insecurity, food waste and combatting child food hunger.
