What is your project name?

Asian Heritage

Why have you chosen your current theme?

I have always been inspired by aspects of Asian Heritage, I just think it is such an aesthetically pleasing, diverse culture. There is so much artistic inspiration, from the architecture, calligraphy, food, music and anime. There is a lot to give me inspiration for my own work.

What artists have inspired you?

Kitipong Ti is someone I have been really inspired by recently. I like how she creates her work and the different materials she uses. I also like how she takes a real person and changes them into a character. This gives me ideas for my own work.

What do you enjoy about your art lessons?

I really like using acrylics and have just started a new canvas which I am really excited about. I also really liked using oil pastel as I thought it created a really unique effect.

Which pieces are you most proud of this term?

I am really proud of my clay pieces and my canvas paintings. I am also pleased that one of my pieces got selected to be exhibited at a gallery in town, The Witham.

How would you like to develop your art work further?

I would really like to explore using mixed media in my work and continue to develop my canvas paintings.
