We were delighted to discover that our first choir rehearsal of the year coincided with BBC Music Day 2019. To join in with the celebrations, we used the official BBC Music Day warm-up video with singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt to help us get ready to sing.
Once students were warmed up, the rehearsal focused on two songs from films - Can You Feel the Love Tonight from The Lion King, and This Is Me from The Greatest Showman.
Our music teacher, Mrs McGrath, said: "The choir producing a tremendous sound and starting to include harmonies their singing already; I’m excited to see the progress they make and will look forward to sharing their work at one of our upcoming events."
There is still the opportunity for students in all year groups to join choir if they wish, rehearsing on Thursday lunchtimes in S1.
