Students enjoy wildlife talk

On Wednesday, as part of trips week, we had a visit from Nidderdale Moorland Group who gave a talk on wildlife, moorland conservation and controlled heather burning.

Mike and Tracy from NMG very kindly brought a variety of game meats with them for the children to taste, which the students loved!

Not only were the classes enthralled with the activities, but we also had a lot of students visit the NMG stand during their lunch break to explore the cooking of game meats and listen to the gamekeeper's stories about his work on the moors.

Jake, Year 10, said: "I want a job on a moor now."

We are glad the day was a success!
