Before Christmas, we hosted an inspiring science ambassador training event with outstanding mentors from the Institute of Physics and The Ogden Trust in partnership with Durham University.
Twelve students from our school and thirty students from other north east schools worked with the mentors to learn a range of hands-on activities and presentation skills and to start thinking about potential outreach.
Students learned a range of practical demonstrations linked to the theme of space and developed strategies on how to present them to others, with a focus on primary school children.
The Teesdale team of ambassadors will begin their outreach work by mentoring primary students at an event in school on 29 January. Good work!
