TEACHER OF MATHEMATICS
Full Time - Required for September 2019 with earlier start possible.

Our school teaches 575 children across Key Stages 3 and 4 and post-16. We joined The North East Learning Trust in September 2016, a successful multi-academy trust led by The Academy at Shotton Hall, which has two consecutive outstanding grades, an outstanding SCITT and three national leaders of education. This partnership began with a clear focus on our school becoming truly outstanding. That journey is well underway. The GCSE results in 2018 placed us well within the top 10 in the whole of the North East in all key government measures of performance.
We are looking to appoint an excellent Teacher of Mathematics who would like to work with and contribute to the development of highly motivated students.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching engaging lessons which help students develop their mathematical ambitions.
About the role:
Mathematics is a high performing subject at Teesdale School with rapidly improving outcomes. In 2018, we were delighted with our students who secured exceptional GCSE results for the second year running. 10% of students obtaining grade 9 and the overall progress 8 score in maths was +0.36. Our sixth form students excel and go on to secure places on maths related courses at Oxford, Cambridge and other prestigious institutions. Our students are a pleasure to work with and this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.
