On Friday 7 July, a group of Year 11 students took time out from their busy post-GCSE exam schedule to take part in a bridging event in preparation for sixth form study from September.
Team building activities were run by the staff of Kingsway Adventure Centre and required students to solve clues to find their way to various locations across Barnard Castle. Once they arrived at each point students were faced with different challenges, ranging from crossing the river on a raft to diffusing a dummy bomb in the shadow of the Bowes Museum.
After a morning of hard work and lots of fun, staff and students retired for a much needed lunch. The students had a great time working together and learning to challenge themselves in different ways.
