Huge well done to Lucy Deere who will complete her BASI Level 2 instructor training after winning a ski scholarship with Interski worth £8,000!
The final selection day last month, saw Lucy and 29 other hopefuls under the scrutiny of advanced ski instructors at Castleford ski slope. They were each assessed on their ski ability and personal qualities.
The PE department are absolutely delighted to announce that Lucy is one of ten to receive the prestigious award out of a staggering 1500 applicants Nationally.
Lucy will attend an all expenses paid week of training in Italy during December before spending 35 hours shadowing an experienced instructor during our own trip with Interski in February. She will then return to Italy for a second week in April to finish her studies and graduate as a fully qualified instructor.
We wish Lucy all the very best as she embarks on this new challenge and we have every confidence she will be a massive success. Well done!
