Sadie Askwith - Landscape project

Student Names:
Sadie Askwith
Year:
A2
Subject:
Art and Design

Saidie's work has been inspired by her visit to the Highlands of Scotland. Of her work, she says 'through this project, I would like to explore the shape, colour and form of the landscape around me, using multi-media. I am inspired by how it changes, how the colours morph and blend. I am excited to see how I can portray this and also how others have used the landscape as inspiration, through realism, impressionism, fauvism and through modern and abstract art.'

We have selected Sadie's work for the showcase because she has shown an obvious enthusiasm and passion for the subject throughout her time at Teesdale School. Her work is of a consistently high standard and shows how exciting it can be to develop ideas, using a variety of materials, including ceramics. Her ceramic work is fantastic and she has explored using techniques such as enamelling too. Well done Sadie!
