Our Year 7 class made it to the football cup final this week, and after playing a fantastic game they were just pipped to the post in penalties.
During the thrilling game, Teesdale were 3-2 up with just two minutes to play, but conceded a goal to St John's School, which took the game into extra time.
St John's then scored in the first period of extra time, but Teesdale showed plenty of resilience to score with three minutes of extra time to take the game to penalties. The boys were a credit to the school and were very gratious and well mannered in defeat.
The final score was 4-4, with goals from Jed Dominick (2), Nicky Lee Shield and Joe Alderson.
The squad was made up of:
- Nat Rawlins (man of the match)
- George Peacock
- Jed Dominick
- Joe Alderson
- Alfie Matthews
- Nicky Lee Shield
- Corey Playel
- James Parsons
- Ofoe Fierboger
- Freddie Madgwick
We'd also like to give a special thanks to the coaches, Kyle Ritchie and Jake Black from Teesdale Sixth Form.
Well done, everyone!
