Durham Uni Taster Day

Date Published:
Monday 27 March 2017

A group of ten students from Year 10 travelled to Durham University on Friday 24 March to take part in its 'Durham Unwrapped' event.

The day was designed to give students insight into university life and to get them to begin to think about what they may want to study in the future.

They had a chance to walk around the campus in the beautiful spring sunshine and ask undergraduates about their studies and extra-curricular pursuits. Other sessions focused on student finance and progression pathways as well as fun games and activities.

Dr Simon Henderson who organised the outing said: "The students had an excellent time and many of them came away from the day full of enthusiasm about what exciting opportunities were open to them in the future."
