Our talented Year 11 artists have been developing exciting ideas for their BTEC project based on the theme of 'Hobbies' this term.
Some students chose to explore using textiles, and thanks to the help of our fantastic technician Ms Kenny, have tried their hands at free embroidery using the sewing machines.
Mrs Bell commented: "We are so pleased with the outcomes. The students have loved working on the machines, adding detail to their paintings using stitches in different coloured threads. It is a quick technique to use, so was really motivating for them to see the results. We are looking forward to seeing how they develop their ideas next."
