Year 13 student ambassadors, Evie Ridgway, Lucy Blackburn, Hayley Brownless and Scarlett Ballantine are running the project to explore global rights and responsibilities and have started by looking at free speech and young peoples' hopes are for the future.
The young ambassadors gave a questionnaire to 120 students at Teesdale School and will be collating and analysing the results.
As part of the project, students have been in touch with fellow students at Nawan Sher School in Pakistan to find out about life in each other's countries.
