Year 7 student, Rory Hart, has flourished in his athletic abilities since joining Teesdale School's cross country team, as he competed in his first Cross Country Championship on Saturday.
Rory competed for South West Durham in the competition held at Barnard Castle School. He came in 16th place out of 60 runners and 3rd in the South West Durham team, making excellent progress with this being his very first running competition.
Jane Hart, Rory's mother, commented: "We are very pleased that Teesdale School has cross country teams, and the team photographs on the PE department walls is one of the reasons for sending Rory to Teesdale School. Rory is not keen on team sports like football or rugby, so we welcome the opportunity for him to shine at something else that he enjoys."
Keep up the good work Rory!
