Dan Pilling

Dan joined Teesdale School as a physical education teacher after graduating from Durham University in 2006.

Before Teesdale, Dan taught outdoor education in a youth offending secure unit and worked in America for six years at a sports Aacademy coaching waterskiing, wakeboarding, football and golf. It was these experiences that led Dan to pursue a career in PE teaching and he has been at Teesdale for the last ten years.

At Teesdale School and Sixth Form, Dan has had a number of pastoral responsibilities including head of year, assistant head of house, head of Faraday House. His role as assistant headteacher involves being the designated safeguarding lead and ensuring that all students and staff are safeguarded from any dangers or harm.
