Chris Whitehead

Chris joined Teesdale School in 2011 and has been a qualified teacher since 2007 after his studies at Durham University following his Mathematics degree.

Chris joined Teesdale as Director of Maths and ICT from a large, outstanding department. He is currently Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for assessment and progress, with the responsibility of tracking and making a major contribution to the raising of standards of achievement at Key Stage 4. Chris is also responsible for home to school transport.  

Chris is a former rugby player and keen follower of sport. Chris is passionate about supporting student progress and creating a culture where all students can thrive. Chris has significant experience with educational research having now completed two masters degrees in the field and is keen to support our students with strategies proven to have the greatest impact.
