Ian Campbell

Originally from Northern Ireland where he studied Biochemistry at the University of Ulster, Belfast. He relocated to Teesdale in 1996 and has been based in the area since.

Ian has worked at GSK in Barnard Castle for over 25 years and has held various roles within the company including laboratory operations, productions operations and more recently in programme management across the site.

Ian has one son at Teesdale school. He believes that every child has an entitlement to a great education, in an environment where they feel safe to learn irrespective of their abilities and background. His interest is around the STEM elements of education and is an area in which he can help to support Teesdale school aspirations.

He lives with his partner and has 3 great kids (and one dog) in the family! For leisure Ian enjoys sport of all varieties and likes to go to the gym and run when he can. He also enjoys watching his kids participate in sport which fills up any remaining spare time at weekends.
